Members of the Canadian Association of Journalists (CAJ) are some of the most talented journalists in the country. Featured job postings will reach anyone who visits the CAJ website, while free job postings reach members only. Featured postings will also be promoted specifically in the CAJ newsletter, read by folks who hold a wide variety of journalism skill sets, helping you to find the kind of uniquely qualified person you need for your job opening.

Please review the CAJ’s job posting guidelines below before filling out this form.
Please note: Positions posted will appear in the language in which the posting was provided. If you wish for the posting to be made in both English and French, please provide us with the translation.
All post requests are subject to approval by our communications committee and/or board of directors.

Please complete the following form to provide us with the details necessary to make your posting. Once complete, click on the “Submit Job Posting” button and head to Step 2.
Job posting guidelines
- All job postings should be paid positions, ideally with pay range posted
- If the job is an internship that does not include remuneration, please refer to the appropriate federal or provincial guidelines to ensure that the posting conforms to applicable requirements, and post a detailed description of what the intern will learn over the course of the internship
- All job postings must be at recognized media outlets. Sorry, we do not allow communications positions to be posted on our website
- Journalism-related university positions are allowed but must include details about tenure track and contract length (sessional, full-time, part-time, permanent, etc.)
- Translations are not provided for job postings. Should the submitter wish for the position to be displayed in both English and French, a translation must be sent to advertising@caj.ca after submitting the original post.

Pricing options
- Featured post: $150
- Ad will live on our website for up to six weeks (or until submission deadline)
- Additional weeks can be purchased for $25 each
- Posts receive prominent placement on our website
- Posts will be promoted once on CAJ’s social media platforms
- Posts are promoted in our email newsletter which goes out to all current contacts of the CAJ, from coast to coast to coast
- If there is no upcoming newsletter prior to the posting deadline, two social media posts will be made
- A generic Job Board graphic will be used for all job posting promotions on social media and in the newsletter
- Free post: $0
- Free posts will only appear to members signed into the CAJ website and will not show publicly
- Free posts will not be promoted in CAJ newsletters or on social media platforms
- Free posts must still meet all the same guidelines/criteria as paid postings, as shown in guidelines section
