3 THINGS TO REMEMBER BEFORE THE CAJ AWARDS DEADLINE

This Friday (Jan. 17) is the nomination deadline for the CAJ Awards program. We know you worked hard to tell impactful stories last year and we encourage you to take a moment to celebrate (and nominate!) that work.

Here are the top three tips from your CAJ Awards administrator, Hugo Rodrigues:

#1: If this is your first time applying, the CAJ awards entry system is separate from the CAJ membership system—you'll need to create a new account on the awards entry site to submit.

#2: Look at the categories and their entry limits—the toughest part can be weighing the work you'd like to submit and determining what category you feel it fits in, and then choosing the best piece(s) that
can show the judges the quality of your work.

#3: We're here to help! If you have any questions throughout any of the entry process, please reach out. Email [email protected]—this account is monitored and we'll do our best to reply the day you email us.

Another thing...

Are you a student journalist? Remember you can submit free of charge to the Student Award for Excellence.

Plus! **NEW** This year we are pleased to present the CAJ's first climate change reporting award.

Good luck!
