CAJ AWARDS: THREE THINGS TO REMEMBER

We know how hard you worked last year to bring critical information and stories to Canadians. We encourage you to take a moment to celebrate (and nominate!) that work.

Here’s a short checklist of tips from Hugo Rodrigues, your CAJ Awards administrator, to help make sure your awards submission is done quickly and easily:

#1. If this is your first time applying, please note that the CAJ awards entry system is separate from the CAJ membership system. You will need to create a new account on the awards entry site to submit your work.

#2. Look at the categories and their entry limits—the toughest part can be weighing the work you'd like to submit and determining what category you feel it fits in, and then choosing the best piece(s) that can show the judges the quality of your work.

#3. Don't forget to include login credenitals if your entry is behind an online subscriber paywall. The CAJ will need access until May 20 for judging purposes.

If you have any questions throughout the entry process, please reach out. Email [email protected]—this account is monitored and we'll do our best to reply the day you email us.

Another thing...

Are you a student journalist? Remember you can submit free of charge to the Student Award for Excellence.

Good luck to everyone!
