CAJ MANITOBA: OFF-THE-RECORD CONVERSATION WITH MANITOBA ADVOCATE FOR CHILDREN AND YOUTH

The Manitoba Legislative Press Gallery and the Canadian Association of Journalists are inviting CAJ members to an exclusive talk with Manitoba’s Advocate for Children and Youth Daphne Penrose. Deputy advocates Ainsley Krone and Sherry Gott will also be in attendance.

In an off-the-record conversation, the trio from MACY will answer any media questions about reporting on child welfare and on the new powers for the advocate’s office, more of which are scheduled to kick in this spring. It will be a great chance to discuss best practices for reporting, with other colleagues and those often making the news.

Snacks and non-alcoholic beverages will be provided.

The event takes place April 8, 2019 from 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM in Room 334 at the Manitoba Legislative Building and is exclusively for members of the CAJ and the Manitoba Legislative Press Gallery who have paid their membership dues.
